MEET Farming in a Skirt

AFRICA’S FINEST

Farming in a Skirt

Founder Kopano Kwapeng, started Farming in a skirt because she wanted her favourite foods to help her to eat her way to health, therefore more access to natural, health and taste conscious foods that are free from the harmful artificial additives and preservatives which together with poor food choices cause avoidable Lifestyle diseases and/or Non communicable diseases, which according to contributed to 71% of global deaths, in 2019.

That’s why we decided to produce our own range of foods and condiments that are nutrient rich, health promoting, naturally preserved but mostly importantly are tasty to kill the belief that natural and healthier foods are undesirable.

Along the way, we have grown from our humble beginnings of only selling at farmers markets to having two of our product lines on retail shelves.  We are a proud member of proudly SA and affiliation we value, as well as grateful to have been a top 5 finalist in the BMF& Standard bank innovation and invention competition program.

We want to increase access to wholesome, natural, health promoting, and locally produced products whilst creating much needed local jobs in our economy. We exist to positively transform millions of lives, “one health and natural conscious choice at a time”.

For us it’s not just about the products but driving a long-lasting conscious movement towards a more natural, healthier and qualitative lifestyle, whilst enjoying every part of it. With Us, Life, tastes good.
